Kaden's IEP

Kaden had his IEP today and as soon as I have his birth certificate he will be going to school for special ed students in Hanford. Will go into more detail later. I have a few things I have to accomplish and a few things I have to get sorted out in my own head first. This will be great for him, of that I am sure. Love you all! More in the next day or 2.

Pay it Forward

Seems to be the cool thing to do so I will have to jump on the train too!

A friend of mine has this on her blog and I thought it sounded awesome. So this is how it works: The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise.

There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Remember, only the first 3 comments receive a gift.

Love you all,

just an update. no pics sorry

I have been very lazy about taking pictures. I am sorry. But here is a little update for you all. JD is still doing great in school and wants me to look into a Karate class for him. There is a class on base on Sat and Sunday, hopefully you get to choose one or the other. I would really hate for him to miss out because of church on Sunday. He is so excited for his birthday next month. I can not believe that I am going to have an 8 year old. CRAZY! He is starting to show an interest in girls....ALREADY!?!?! Are you serious? I was hoping for at least 8 more years of not interested in girls! JD and Danica have all recesses and lunch together and Danica is friends with the girl JD has a crush on. But in Danica's world she can only be friends with her on the days she doesn't like JD. hehehe. Danica is still amazing me with her reading abilities and LOVES to read and spell. As a matter of fact she no longer chooses to speak most of the time but will spell everything out....Y-e-s, m-o-m. SO very annoying. but I am glad that she is so into spelling and learning. I am also looking into finding a dance or gymnastics class for Danica. Our earning and spending their own money has kind of fizzled. not for lack on mom and dads side. they just don't want to help out or do their chores and just flat out refuse. It is making for a pretty unhappy house right now. I don't ask much of them and have even made out a chore calender so they know what chore is theirs. but they would rather lose TV time, computer time, and special treats, then do their chores. If anyone has ideas on how to spice life up and get them to help out again I would appreciate it Very much! On Kaden news, I am so sad to announce that he will VERY VERY soon be starting school. He has his IEP on the 24 and within 48 hours the transportation people will be getting a hold of me and Kaden will be going ON A BUS to a special ed school over in Hanford. We have been over to the school to observe the classroom and make sure we were ok with it. I want to run away and scream no I am not ok with it. He is only 3 he still needs to be home with me (I know in reality I need him more then he needs me) But this isn't about me. It is about Kaden and I know this is where he needs to be and that he will do great there. Dalton continues to prove to me that he was meant to be the LAST baby the Elrods will have. He was definitely the swift kick in the butt I needed to say hey you need to be done. I love him dearly! He is so much clingier and needier then the others have been....or maybe not but I dealt with it different or better then...maybe? I don't know. I have a gate that separates the living room and kitchen and if I walk into the kitchen he is sitting at the gate screaming even though he was perfectly content ignoring me while I sat next to him as he played. I cant seem to get anything accomplished unless he is asleep and he is now down to one 30 to 45 min nap a day. NOT my choice I would still love to have 2, 2 hour naps a day...but somewhere in my kids genes they are missing a sleep button. on the positive side Dalton is SOOOOOO smart. hehehe! He eats with a fork in fact refuses to eat if you dont give him one. he walks around the house with the remote saying hello hello. TOOO CUTE! His walking is turning into a cute little run, usually to try to get through the gate before I close it. He loves to drop things and the say bbbbbbbwwwwoooooooo (whoa). He loves to turn off the TV and has the cutest little dance when you turn music on and he loves to sing along. Vernon is doing good. I am same old Carolyn, nothing new and exciting to post on us. I guess that is everything for now. Love you all! ~ Care
